Hey guys! Our Web designers are hard at work on the new changes to the site. Things should be finished by June 1st, 2009. 

Poem postings, Critics critiquing, and Gold Members being heavily promoted are all a part of the next step for online poetry.

I'm still compiling critics who are willing and able to critique. That list is up to about 40, but I'll step up my efforts over the next month to try to reach about 200 people who love to read and critique poetry. 

The critics will be rated as well, and users will be allowed to "follow" critics, receiving emailed notifications directing them to poems positively rated by their favorite critics. I'll also be honoring the top critics with cash prizes for their hard work, to go along with the exposure they'll receive for their own site and/or poetry.

If you'd like to be a critic, email info@poetryblogrankings.com with the word "critic" in the subject line. You'll be added to the list of people to be contacted once the site's next set of changes take place.

I hope you guys are all doing well, I hope you're reading and writing a ton of poetry, and I hope you're as excited as I am for this next step in online poetry being as huge as we can make it!

Online Poetry

My name's Jocelyne and I'm a writer for PoetryBlogRankings. I was wondering (and I'm sure others are as well) what exactly is on the minds of all the various online poets out there.

So, if you're willing to humor me a bit.... Answer any or all of the following questions and be sure to read the answers of others below:

What does online poetry mean to you?

What do you expect to get out of it?

How far do you think online poetry will go? 

My answer:

Well, poetry is my passion, as it gives me a way to express my deepest thoughts. I've always been interested in online poetry, actually. Before I even started writing poetry, I used to read online poetry from a various array of other poets. They gave me the inspiration to begin writing poetry and eventually even post my poems.

I've received great comments on my poetry from the online poetry community, and that just adds to my innermost inspirational force. I've won some awards for my poetry, but my greatest award has been to meet and network with other online poets.

I'm in the process of writing my first poetry book, as I hope to reach and inspire as many people as I possibly can. It's such a wonderful feeling to let people know me for who I honestly am. Poetry has been my therapeutic relief from the stresses of life, and my link to the potential greatness I have in myself.

Getting my name out there is the main goal for me, but I sincerely hope PoetryBlogRankings.com and sites like it go far. I think online poetry is on its way to finally being realized as a positive and true and very real force and source of inspiration within and throughout the entire world. And really, there's no greater goal than to inspire a human being. That is where I see online poetry going, and I see us all getting there together.

I KNOW how frustrating writers block can be, at times devastating. However, if you’re a man there is an even greater threat. Another type of block… One that is common and happens to even the “best” however, that knowledge alone will not alleviate the frustration of erectile dysfunction.
